So... life... didn't get fired like I thought I might. YAY! Getting top payout for my bonus this quarter too!

The guy who was doing a lot of the work for the thursday night anime club was caught stealing from the place we hold it at so we're taking over.

Went shopping. Bought clothes. I love sale items at Lane Bryant.

My toilet stopped working. It just needs a new stopper though, so not a problem. Dad's gonna come fix it today.

Still need to make those subtitles for my amv so I can start work on the next one.

Been playing Rock Band. It's awesome! Of course we had to make a bunch of anime characters to be in bands. (I wish Ban could have bangs, but Izumi's awesome!

Sakura con was great, except for being sick all weekend. Seriously, can I please go to a con and not be sick for once? Ali Project rocked and Tyler only had to stand in line 45 minutes for Vick's autograph this time. Ended up sharing a room with Aladdin... o_O... No, he wasn't cosplaying as Aladdin. He used to be Aladdin at Disney World. Cool dude actually.

Yup. That's pretty much it.

So okay... Quick update for anyone out there who was wondering why I dropped off the face of the internet.

Moved out of the crappy old apartment into a very nice house. It's actually only costing about $40 more each month to live here and it's WAY nicer, BUT bus service doesn't run this far out of town so I'm SOL on transportation. My roommate has a car so I can still get around, but all travel is at her discretion and that kind of sucks.

I've been MAJORLY depressed recently. Obviously my medication isn't working, so I switched meds and with any luck this will work a lot better. Problem is I've been having trouble at work recently because of my depression and they kind of threatened to fire me. So I'm on unpaid leave for a little while while I see if my new meds will work for me.

I can't tell Mom about work because she'll freak on me about how I should have better control, but guess what? It's the holidays. No avoiding family right now (although I managed to get out of Thanksgiving). XP

Broke my laptop. Yup. Thank the Gods of electronics for blessing me with two computers... and for Best Buy's Accidental Damage Insurance.

Killed my phone. No warranty on that so I had to go buy a new phone for $35 (did I mention I'm on unpaid leave?). Stupid phone doesn't do anything either. No music. No internet. No qwerty keyboard. I miss my sidekick. So Yuki-chan... I kind of need your number again. Text me or something.

The worker's comp hearing didn't go well. They're trying to blame my DS for my tendinitis. I'll admit it probably doesn't help but good lord. Osu and Pheonix Wright does not give you tendinitis. Otherwise there would be a lot of gamers out there with hand trouble.

Yeah, that's about it. I think the meds have been kicking in so hopefully I'll start actually being active on-line again... probably more so when I get my laptop back.

I would like to take this moment to apologize to all the people on my f-list (especially the new friends) for not posting/commenting recently. My life's a little hectic at the moment (I won't go into detail 'cause it'd just be boring) but I promise to be back when things settle down.

So Kumori con was fun. Exhausting, but fun. I actually had more fun than I have at a con for a long time.

Talking to all the dollfie owners got me all pumped up to finnish the one I've been working on. So yay! The newly named Keichi is finished! Now I have to burden you all with random pictures of my dolls!

I swear to god that my dolls are cursed to get that evil smudge on the tips of their noses too! Ran didn't have it at the con, didn't have it on the ride home, but I get home and BAM! there's that damn smudge! Then Yuki didn't have the smudge last night, or this morning, or even while I was taking pictures, then we were putting him away and rodentgoddess noticed that he suddenly had the smudge too. EVIL SMUDGE OF DOOM! I edited it out of the pictures though.

Really wishing I had made a Sasori icon to use it on this entry. Oh well.

Okay so I finnished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (more on that later in another post) last night and thus today I got to read the next chapter of Naruto! YAY!

The really stupid geeky thing is that I feel guilty putting off reading Naruto to read Harry Potter. Yeah, I know. I'm a loser.

I have a million and one more important things I could be doing, but what do I do? I sit here making icons and watching The YYH movie. The "Poltergeist Report" one not the crappy short one.

But am I making Hakusho icons? No. That would make too much sense... but now that I think of it... I don't have any YYH icons. I'm gonna have to fix that.

Okay. I think I will go to bed now that Kurama's fight is over since it's getting late.

Thankfully we found out I'm not going to be responsible for the bills for treating my hands (for now at least) and worker's comp does owe me at least a little money for time I took off to go see their doctor. Yays!

Kumori Con's coming up here, but I'm not sure I have the energy left to deal with pre-con stress. Wah!

So, I got Tendonitis in my wrist. It's really obviously work related, but does Worker's Comp think so? Of course not. So in the mean time while we dispute their decision I'm working about 3 hours less each day and not getting paid for it. Fun.

Unfortunately I had just committed to buy a Sidekick (awesome phone BTW. I'm posting from it right now) and got a bill from Salem Radiology for about $200. Fan-fucking-tastic.

So I'm almost done with a project I started about a year ago... P.D.P.'s first AMV. I'm at the point now where I just have to rip a few more video clips to add in. If I get my ass in gear I could be done by the end of the week! Then I just have to figure out a way to compress it down to manageable size without destroying the ideo quality. Once I get this thing off my computer it should free up quite a bit of space too... not that space is really an issue.

Excitement in my week:

I found a place to read Naruto manga online at work. Unfortunately they only had chapters 305-325 so yeah... that didn't last long.

The wig for my Sakura Con costume arived! Unfortunately it isn't to my satisfaction, BUT the girl who made it is really nice and said she'd fix the things I don't like about if free if I send it back! I'll do that after the con.

Bill was right... There was no new Shippuuden episode this week, T.T but next week is an hour long episode! Yay!

Havn't watched the new Death Note episode yet, but I heard it ROCKS! I'll save that for next week though so I'll have an hour of both Shipuuden and Death Note.

Yay! I made 2 icons!

I'm getting better at this icon thing. I'm even experimenting more with layers and what to do with the different tools. Overall I'm really happy with how these ones turned out. Check them out.

So I didn't even watch the first series up to the filler (although I do have a basic idea of what happens), but this new series gave me "that feeling". The feeling I get when I find a series that really gets my attention. The type of series that I obsess over. I havn't felt like that for a while. Most of the first episode was flashback and character re-introductions. But if that pre-opening scene didn't grab your attention NOTHING this series can throw at you will. I just spent a massive amount of time making screenshots from that opening 8 1/2 minute segment. Yeah... SasuxNaru icons are on their way.

I'm sure there will be more ranting later, but for now I have to go to bed.

The problem with the cold is that I don't want to leave my room, and if I don't leave my room I don't get anything done (like laundry, or cleaning the living room & bathroom). The appartment is sufferring greatly because of this.

Now you'd think that being confined to my room would encourage me to clean it, but no. It dosn't quite work that way. There isn't enough space in my room to clean without leaving so everything in here stays a disaster too. *sigh*

I noticed today that the second of my 3 lucky bamboo sticks is dying. I'm going to have to buy more bamboo. I have kind of had the same bamboo for years. I honestly can't remember when I bought them.

Lesse... Other than that... My roommate acidraven opened the PS3 last night. Not that we have any games for it. I personally wanted the 60GB one, and I'll probably still buy one when I can get my hands on it, but that'll be a while. In the meantime I'll use his. That new Sonic game is so mine when it comes out!

That's pretty much the state of my life at the moment. Yup. Pretty boring.

So I think I mentioned before that I was working on a YGO fic. Well the fic got messed up in my head because I read more of the manga and I'm trying to keep the fic manga-cannon but the timeline got slightly screwed by one simple thing... mentioning that Kaiba had been in a coma for 6 months. With that little bit of cannon info I couldn't conceivably squash the entire series into a 6-9month period. Damn! so I sat last night and figured out again how much freaking time the series took and I'v modified a couple things. I think I'm good to go now. Now my major issue is honorifics. Viz is an evil horrible company and dosn't use honorifics in their translations so I'm left trying to figure out what everyone calls eachoter. I can use the anime as reference for most of this... except Bakura. Little Baku-chan got so cut out of the anime that I have hardly any reference for his speech and hardly anyone talks to him in the anime.

GAH! So I'm waffling between Bakura using kun for Yugi or not. If Viz just wasn't so evil I wouldn't have such an issue!

After watching several episodes... I've decided to go with Yugi-kun. I don't know how I'm going to judge Malik's speach though, since it dosn't really count untill after he loses in Battle City since his personality changes so drastically.

As I have not figured out how to imbed Youtube videos (probably has something to do with me not having an account) here's something interesting for my friends who havn't seen it yet.

LANime went well... besides my wig not working, "Goff Chick" being a bitch, creepy dude molesting a girl, and rodentgoddess breaking my computer monitor. Other than that everything went great. Seriously though, this LANime ran so smoothly it was scary (okay so I'm just happy that my music went over so well for the rave).

I wore my Al costume to work today... only slightly stained (Damn rodentgoddess and her fucking paint!). My coworkers were all freaked at me being a blonde. XD I really don't look good blonde. I'm thinking I'll have the wig commissioned since I had such a time with mine. It's a simple wig so I don't think it'll run me too much and it'll be a more accurate color. I'd also like to get contacts for the costume.

I didn't sleep much last night so I'm gonna go to bed now.

Yay! Got some shopping done! Spent entirely too much on glow-y things for the dance. Bought C batteries for those strobe light things lanachan and I bought. I put the batteries in to see what they look like... I wouldn't really call them "strobe" lights. I think we need colored cellophane to put over the light parts so they have cool color effects. Thankfully my roommate acidraven has a real strobe light. He also has 2 black-lights but I'm not sure where we'll put those. I still have to make my play list for the dance. I'm such a procrastinator. XP

Yay! The LANime Viewing Schedule is done! The only problem is that it hinges on one tiny little detail. I'll need to download Death Note episode 4 and burn everything to DVD by next saturday. This wouldn't be a problem... except that episode 4 hasn't come out yet. ^^; Here's praying that it comes out in time and my burner dosn't have any unexpainable problems.

I still have to go to WalMart to pick up a Black Tank Top for my costume. I think for the moment I'll pass on the contacts I wanted to buy. *sigh* I did really want to wear contacts this time but I have enough other crap to do before LANime.

On a totally different note... I tried out this fake skin stuff I bought at the Halloween store. It's awesome! I'll have no more problems with my scar for my Mukuro costume and lanachan, we can easily use it for the marks on your hands for Subaru-kun. This totally calls for a revival of the Subaru-kun outfit. If Kyung dosn't have your dresses done, totally wear that. I'll do the marks with this stuff and you can go without gloves!

Lesse... Other than that... I've been sucked into the bottomless void that is Death Note. This series ROCKS! It's absolutely my newest obsession. I've been waiting for a new series to obsess over and this it completely it. I never quite got to the point of total obsession with FMA and this is kind of a far stretch from my last obsession (Hunter x Hunter) but I've been completely engulfed in my love for this series. I really need to start reading the manga, but at the same time I'm not sure I want to spoil the anime. I won't look forward to new episodes as much if I know what's going to happen and inevitably I'll sit there the whole time thinking "the manga was better", but DAMN I wanna know what happens! *Sigh* Oh the difficulties of an Otaku's life! Woe is me! XD

Okay Yuki. I went back and watched that episode of HxH (episode 16 by the way) and I still don't really see any vibe there.

I assume the scene you're talking about is where Leorio says something like, "I know! How about betting on wether I'm male of female! No, she'll know right away." Then he freaks out for a minute and gets a weird look, looks a Kurapika, and says, "Ah! if only Kurapika were in my place!" and Kurapika's like, "Wh-why is he looking at me?"

I see where people would get that that means he would like Kurapika to have to strip (and get molested) to prove his gender, but with how leorio said it and his expression at the time I think it's more that he want's Kurapika to be in his place 1) because Kurapika's smart and could come up with a good bet, and 2) because if he used the "am I male or female?" bet he stands a good chance of actually stumping the chick. I do have to admit that Kurapika striping (and getting molested) would be a really nice bonus. XD

Y'know every once in a while I think, "Hey, I want to read some good (preferably smutty) fics starring my favorite raven-haired, emerald-eyed, super-gay, dice chucking bishounen" but there just isn't much out there. And the pairings *shudder*... I find Otogi/Honda frightening because Honda is so damn straight it's scary. Then there's Otogi/Kaiba which is at least hot, but Otogi dosn't even seem to exist in Kaiba's world (seriously Kaiba dosn't speak to him once in the whole series. But any other pairings? Not really out there. Maybe in random on shot fics, but not ususally in multi-chapter ones, and if I do happen to find one they're ususally written really badly and OOC. One more thing. Why do writers insist that Otogi is some important businessman? He's the designer of one game, but he dosn't have a major corporation or anything. And for the love of God stop having him as seme to Kaiba! REALLY!

If anyone reading this know some REALLY GOOD Otogi fics... PLEASE SEND THEM MY WAY! Smut or fluff I don't care as long as a couple simple conditions are met. 1) No dub names. Dubs are EVIL. 2) No straight Otogi. That's just beyond the realm of belief. 3) If it's AU it better be the damn best AU fic ever. I am so sick of "Character 1 is a vampire who's in love with Character 2. Can love prevail over evil?"

First time coloring manga pics, but I think they came out okay. Forgive the funky background behind Ed. I had to do something with that space and I originally colored it a pale yellow, but I was to lazy to go back and color it a darker color so I threw a gradient on.

Also forgive the lousy editing to change Ed's expression and add sweatdrops.

OMG! I WANT IT! For anyone who plays the Sonic adventure games You will recognise this as the way awesome "NiGHTS Chao". The Purple chao with emphasis on flying. The price is outrageous though. I really can't afford that for a plushie.

So I was trying to make an icon today... a really complicated icon, but there was just no way to make the icon 40k or less so I settled. As it is I had to compress it slightly and I'm not really happy with how it turned out, but hey, it's my first attempt at rain in an icon. I probably used the wrong kanji too knowing my luck. Occassionally I get so caught up in oogling the OMGSMEXY anime bishounen that I forget that I like girls too. I walked into the room the other day and my roommate was watching STDS9 and it just happened to be the epidode where Dax's ex-wife comes to DS9. OMG Jadzia's f-ing HOT and OMG she's making out with that other chick! OMGOMGOMG!

I always wanted to be like Jadzia. That should come as no surprise though. She was so the embodiment of my ideal. So gender-neutral. *sigh* Those type of women are always the ones who attract me. Just look at Juri from Utena. THAT is one hot lesbian bishoujo.

There aren't a lot of anime girls I think are really hot, but that's just because the type of girl I like dosn't appear much in anime. Girly-boys are much more common than buch-girls. Not that I'm complaining. I love girly-boys.

Dollfie's arrived! The wig for my new doll is really nice. It's so soft! I'm not sure what I think of Ran's new head. The hair is awfully blond. and the EB-N looks a little different than I expected, but not in a bad way. I would have spent some time working on the dolls today, but I was too busy making ears and a tail for Tristan (one of my roommate's friends). The boy just has to be calico dosn't he? *sigh* Well it was definitely a learning experience.

I've never made a tail and I've never colored fake fur, but now I know how to do both fairly well. I wish I'd had a slightly better method for dying the fur. I'm actually thinking getting refills for copic markers and squeezing the ink dirrectly onto the fur might work better (although it'd be a lot messier). The color would get deeper into the fur.

Well the router's been cutting out all night, so I'll get going now. I'll actually fost this whenever the internet comes back.

There is nothing in LJ' FAQs or help that lets me know how to get it to do what I want.

I need to go to bed now, but I want to find the damn override that lets me do what I want.

Okay so I have everything about my journal the way I want it... except the two major problems. My icons don't show next to my entries and I have to get the picture I want to show at the top instead of my icon. That and I have to change the title and comments things like that, but that's easy.
